About Me and what i do

A multifaceted background

Michael’s is an interesting background that enables him to relate to children and people of all walks of life. Ask him about his time living in Japan or Bangladesh; his time as a university lecturer; as a disability advocate; his time in the military; vipassana meditation in India; his clowning course in San Francisco; bushwalks in Tasmania; his one and only caving expedition; his Commerce degree; his MBA; trekking in the foothills of the Himalayas;  hot yoga in short shorts; riding a motorbike across the Nullarbor; living with a mother with mental illness; volunteer work with refugees; ESL teaching.

Those smile lines aren’t there for nothing!

FAQs

What size space do you need for your show?   As large as possible. For OOSH and Schools, the hall stage works best.

Do you need power?  No – I bring a portable PA.

Do you have a current Working With Children Check and public liability insurance?  Yes – they are automatically emailed to you when you book.

Ours is a small group – do you have a cheaper rate?  For Early Childhood I do. Please request package rates from the Contact page.

Can toddlers and babies come to your shows?  Of course, they are very welcome.

What about siblings, family members and children from other days?  Again – they’re very welcome. I think it’s lovely to have that shared experience and it allows the conversation about the message of the show to continue at home.

Is any group too large?  Not as long as we all fit comfortably into the space.
